Kamia Leano

Design and Marketing Associate

Yá'át'ééh and Talofa Lava (Greetings)! My name is Kamia Leano. I am from Deer Springs, Arizona, and was raised on the Navajo Nation. My clans are Tódich'íi'nii nishłį́, Samoan Bashichiin, Tábąąhí dashicheii, and Samoan dashinalí. As a Navajo and Samoan woman, I carry the teachings of two cultures that have shaped the way I see the world; rooted in community, guided by values, and resilient in the face of change.

Growing up, I learned the importance of balancing tradition and innovation. From my Diné culture, I carry the stories, ceremonies, and worldview that ground me. From my Samoan culture, I carry a deep sense of family, respect, and strength. These teachings influence the way I approach my work, especially in spaces where Indigenous knowledge and Western systems meet.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I see design and marketing as powerful tools for storytelling, visibility, and connection. Joining Roanhorse Consulting is an opportunity for me to not only share my skills, but also to learn from and grow with others who share a commitment to Indigenous innovation and community impact.

Outside of work, you can usually find me making matcha, taking photos, attending a concert, or connecting with nature. I am currently based in Austin, Texas, and I’m excited for the journey ahead with my team and the communities we serve.
