Christian Rangel
Ecosystem Development Associate
Osiyo! My name is Christian Rangel. I am Cherokee (Bird Clan) and Diné (Coyote Pass People). My Cherokee side comes from Euchee, Oklahoma, and my Diné side from Pinon, Arizona. I currently reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I am deeply rooted in the values and teachings of my communities.
Growing up, I watched my father work hard as an entrepreneur, owning a car lot and rental houses. His determination and hustle sparked my own passion for business. I saw how far he was able to go through dedication alone, but I also witnessed the challenges that come without access to knowledge about business systems. That experience inspired me to learn more so I could build on his legacy and help strengthen the economic foundations of my community.
I am proud to be a first-generation college graduate, earning my Bachelors of Business Administration with a minor in Entrepreneurship, and my Masters of Business Administration with a minor in Native American Enterprise. I now serve as the Ecosystem Development Associate at Roanhorse Consulting, where I hope to support Indigenous innovation, help build inclusive economic ecosystems, and work alongside others to create opportunities for Indigenous communities.
I grew up in the powwow arena as a Fancy Dancer, where I learned that wisdom comes not only from books, but through the stories, teachings, and connections shared in community. Outside of work, I enjoy dancing at powwows and running, both of which keep me grounded and connected to my culture and well-being.
